Your past shapes your purpose, not your potential. Raised by a single mother in Section 8 housing, Johnnie faced the challenges of poverty firsthand. Those experiences in his formative years instilled in him a deep appreciation for resilience, hard work, and the power of community support—values that resonate across the diverse neighborhoods of South Carolina House District 115.
Johnnie channeled these values into a life of impact and integrity, founding six successful healthcare companies and nonprofits that provide essential services to underserved communities, including those often overlooked, like our indigent and Gullah Geechee residents. His innovative work to improve healthcare access and navigate complex regulations earned him the trust of Governor Henry McMaster, who appointed him in 2019 to the South Carolina Palliative Care Committee as a recognized expert in ambulatory critical care.
Johnnie’s journey reflects the strength and diversity of District 115, and his commitment is to serve every resident with focus and compassion, ensuring equitable opportunities and a stronger future for all.
